I am fortunate to be friends with some very talented and creative people and when it came time for Friends With Hearts to need a logo, I instantly called my friend Diana who grew up across the street from me. She is extremely skilled and was a huge supporter of FWH since day one. She was the only choice for our logo.
We would meet and were bouncing around a few different ideas when it both dawned on us to have it somehow inspired by kids and no better way than to have a child part of the design. I called upon my three year old nephew, Hayden, to help us out. The idea was to have him draw a heart and then Diana would surround that heart with another one implying the idea of FWH and it’s donors surrounding what might be a broken heart with hope and care.
I printed a heart, taped it to my graphics tablet, and had him trace it the best he could. The image below is what he came up with.
Diana would take that and do the rest.
Friends With Hearts is something that I feel so honoured to be a part of and to have my nephew involved, makes it even more special.
A huge thank you to Diana for taking my nephews drawing and turning it into something incredible.
Please check out Diana’s work by visiting her website. She has worked on some major projects and make sure to hire her 🙂
